Mercury XM Turnpike Cruiser Concept Car

Concept cars just have a way of capturing the imagination, don't they? I had the pleasure of photographing this 1956 Mercury XM Turnpike Cruiser Concept Car for Mecum Auctions and this car is truly special. Making its debut at the 1956 Cleveland Auto Show, this one-off example eventually got lost to the annals of time, until it was found in a scrap yard in 2018 and lovingly restored over the following 4 years before heading to Mecum Auctions in Kissimmee, FL.
